Marine World Uminonakamichi, Fukuoka,Japan

Assalammualaikum.. :)

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park  (海の中道海浜公園, Uminonakamichi Kaihin Kōen) , is a sprawling, family oriented public park located on a narrow peninsula across the bay from central Fukuoka. The park is made up of several different areas including flower gardens, playgrounds, an amusement park with ferris wheel, sports fields, a water park, a zoo and large open spaces and lawns perfect for picnicking.

Last Autumn, we had some great moments at Fukuoka. We went to Marine World Uminonakamichi and Uminonakamichi Seaside park to have new experience in Japan. Since we're from Saga and it's nearby Fukuoka, we just pack lunch and some clothes and straight headed to Fukuoka by bus..!

First we cycled to Saga station. Then we took a bus to Tenjin in Fukuoka and from Tenjin we took another bus to Uminonakamichi. The tickets price is about 2160 yen per adult :) We brought along food, drinks, mats, towels, sejadah mini, power bank, cameras and money. We had a nice picnic beside the beach. There is also Luigans Hotel just right beside the Marine World Uminonakamichi for visitors to have a night there.

We watched the penguins and the dolphins show. The penguins and dolphins were so cute and amusing..! There is a cafe to have meals but mostly the food there are not halal so we had our own food. There is also vending machine selling food for seagull that you can buy and feed the seagull by your own :) There are many souveniers shop there for you to shop and photo booth to take pictures..!

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park measures nearly four kilometers from end to end, and many visitors will find it too expansive to cover on foot. To make the park more easily explorable, there is a network of cycling trails, and bicycles can be rented at the entrance gates for 400 yen per three hours or 700 yen per day. Alternatively, there is a train (on tires) that circles the park and costs 300 yen per ride or 500 yen for a 1-day pass. We rented a bicycle which can be cycled by two person together. It was great and the view was amazing..! We went to a mini zoo to see the cute animals. You can buy some food (usually costs 100 yen) from the vending machine there to feed the animals..!

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is also a popular place for flower viewing, with millions of flowers planted around the different areas of the park including narcissus, tulips, nemophila, roses, hydrangeas, sunflowers and cosmos among others. The flowers are in bloom at different times of the year, but the general blooming season starts in mid March and lasts through early autumn.

How to get there:

Take the JR Kagoshima Line from Hakata Station to Kashii Station (10 minutes) and transfer to the JR Kashii Line to Uminonakamichi Station (20 minutes) just outside the entrance to the park. The entire one way journey takes about 40 minutes and costs 460 yen. Alternatively, the park is a 20 minute ferry ride from Momochi Seaside Park (1030 yen one way). Ferries depart approximately every two hours (more frequent during busy seasons).
