Last June we had a great time visiting Karatsu with senpai tachi and Japanese friends. It was fun having time at Mikaeri no Taki as it was hot when summer. The scenery was breath taking and way to beautiful. We drove about an hour from Saga shi to Mikaeri no Taki.Parking lots were provided there and its free of charge. The entrance fee is free but donation for environment clean-up will be appreciated during the period of "Ajisai Matsuri (hydrangea festival)" in June every year.

The waterfall is adorned with cherry blossoms in spring, rich greenery in summer and autumn leaves in the fall. The hydrangea which bloom in June and July are of particular viewing value. The 40 different types of hydrangea, which number around 40,000 and come in blue, pink, purple and more, create a spectacular scene in combination with the magnificent waterfall, said to be the greatest in Kyushu.
