Ways to cool your cat down in summer

Assalammualaikum readers..

He's been passive
 all morning yesterday
Do you ever know that cat can become overheated in summer can suffer from dehydration, heatstroke, and shock especially summer in Japan? Here's the thing, unlike people, cats don't sweat and therefore it can be a struggle for them to keep cool when summer temperatures start to rise. We've been worried about Leo as at the first day,he'd been so passive and just sleep all the day.I'd been bossing around telling Leo to drink some water and ask Kak Thiqah about his drinking habit,i get to know that Leo usually doesn't drink much water. That worries me so much and i started to search and read and ask everyone and everything i could so that Leo will feel better from now on.. T___T *Leo,please listen to mummy*

Actually, there are some ways to identify and treat the heatstroke.
Firstly,to detect heatstroke, watch for signs of heatstroke at your cat's body.Signs of heatstroke include excessive panting and rapid breathing, lethargy, bright pink ears, confusion, weakness and inability to stand, shaking, tremors, and possibly even seizures. On the day that Leo came, his head was quite hot and on the next day,he really look fatigue but luckily now,he's already okay and get better.A cat with heatstroke will also feel hot to the touch on the pads of his feet.

Well then,what can you do?
*Okay Leo, you can sit there but
don't touch anything* *i beg you*
1.You can place your cat on cool surface such as tile floor. We're here in Japan almost everywhere in the living room are tatami floored,so i just let Leo to cool down at the kitchen where the wooden floor are much cooler.
2. 24 hours turning on the air conditioner is absurd because the bill in Japan will kill me -_-, so at the evening and night, i'll just turn on the fan and place it directly to Leo when he's sleeping to remove some of the heat.
3. You can also place cool damp washcloths over the paws and offer her some water to drink right away.Spraying water lightly over the fur can also help the cat to cool down. Avoid ice water or very cold water as the temperature difference between the extreme heat and extreme cold can send the cat into a form of shock.Leo gets shock easily and he hates spray,so basically i'll just wet my hands and and get his fur lightly wet to cool him down.
4.Let your cat choose the cool spot. Cats are smart about being comfort at all times, including during the heat.Because they are often cooler, cats sometimes prefer tiled areas of the house, such as the bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen. Usually when Leo chooses a spot and seems comfortable, i'll just let him be.
5.Make sure that your cat has access to shade. Take sensible precautions such as ensuring the cat has access to shade when outside, and does not have to stay in the full sun. Because of the blazing sun is too hot in summer, we only had evening walk and sometimes at night when Leo get's boring, we'll just have a leisure time gazing the stars outside.
Looks better now..!! *Getting active and naughty now*
Leo now is getting more active and his meowing is getting louder and energetic. After finishing meals(even licking his bowl), i always make sure that he drinks some water and that makes me so happy because i know that his stomach is in good condition..!

Happy summer ya'lls.

Thanks for reading :)
